Hear is the web page of me... Not that I have anything important enough going on in my life to set up a shrine to my existence, but more a place I can document as much as I can remember and have it where those who know me can access it. Since it is open to the public for viewing, stangers are welcome.

For those of you who have seen my web site for years, a long time has elapsed! With exception for some small changes over the years, the basic 1998 NOTEPAD CREATED web site has been lingering around. I really just wanted to use the email services of my provider. Well, things are changing!

I have not been in the web site creation mode for many years, except for some customers I had in 2005 and part of 2006. Then, I moved on to a network administrator job, and my wife (Rosemary) took on my client base... Check out SugarloafPC.com.

I used to have a web site devoted to an audio recording hobby that I did for about 5 years and retired in 2004... not really by desire but economics.  Click on the above link to see the old site.

Me!

For those of you who are wondering what I look like, this is me in mid-2012.

A Little Diatribe:

So, I was looking for something that resembled the old Dreamweaver application that I once used, and came across Microsoft Expression Web Professional, version 4. I tested it, got hooked, then bought it for $135. That was on 2012-11-22. So, I have been playing around with it and looked back for some more training materials and templates to find that Microsoft issued a product support announcement that they are no longer selling the Expression suite, end of mainstream support will be on 2015-08-09. They are replacing it with the Visual Studio 2012 suite... Such is the world of computers!

That would have been it, since the program works well and is supported a good bit longer. But, in checking out Visual Studio 2012 components that start at $500, I chanced upon a link to Visual Studio Express 2012 components that are all free... yes, FREE.

That all being said, rest assured that I have abandoned creating web pages in Notepad, or even Dreamweaver. this site is created with Microsoft's FREE Visual Studio Express 2012. There is a free registration to get the license key.
